MENTORSHIP. COACHING. GUIDANCE.

OUR MISSION IS TO GIVE LOCAL YOUTH A FIGHTER'S CHANCE AT SUCCESS IN ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR LIVES THROUGH MENTORSHIP AND ENGAGEMENT IN AMATEUR BOXING.

Fighter’s Chance Ministries, Inc. is classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the standards of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

About Us:

Fighter’s Chance Ministries, Inc. is a mentoring program in northwest Florida that uses the sport of boxing to draw in children and young adults in order to have a positive impact in their lives. Boxing is a sport that notoriously attracts youth who are otherwise hard to reach. Our program specifically targets at-risk youth/young adults (low- income, broken families, currently or formerly on probation, history of drug abuse, etc.) ages 8 to 24 years old, in order to mentor them, instill values, and build character. Through the sport of boxing, our youth are mentored in all areas of their lives, including home life, relationships, school, work, college and their relationship with God. Boxing is a common ground we use to relate to youth on a deeper level.

Our Vision:

We strive to instill self-respect and respect for others; and values such as fair play, discipline and sportsmanship. Fighter’s Chance Ministries will work with churches, other local non-profit organizations (e.g. boys and girls club), and the court system to reach at-risk youth and help redirect them through mentorship and pre-trial intervention programs. We believe, from personal experience, that the sport of boxing and having positive role models available can change lives, and in some cases, SAVE lives.

Pre-Trial Diversion Program:

Fighter’s Chance Ministries, Inc. is part of the Florida Juvenile Justice Department’s ONE mentor, ONE child program. Our pre-trial diversion program was created to help reduce the youth recidivism rate here in Walton County, Fl. Using mentoring, boxing, and church youth group involvement children are    taught valuable life skills through:

A Safe Environment - To provide a safe and encouraging atmosphere for children to learn a new skill.

Character Development - To teach the importance of respect, discipline, and determination and to illustrate how these characteristics are important in the sport of boxing and in life.

Emotional Control - To teach the importance of NOT resolving one's problems with violence and instilling the discipline and courage involved in walking away from confrontation.

Responsibility - To teach children that their actions have consequences.

Self Worth - To teach students that they all have value and talents

Fitness - To teach healthy living habits and to improve reaction time, coordination, and strength.

Mind, Body, and Spirit - To develop every aspect of wellness within each child.
